Doctoral Student Financial Support
The Information Institute will
provide financial support for doctoral students to attend the ISOneWorld 2009
conference in Las Vegas , April 17, 2009

Interested candidates are required to
submit a 3,000 word outline proposal of their research which will be evaluated
for argument, justification and contribution (candidates should also include a
brief resumé). The successful proposals will be awarded a registration fee
waiver and 2 nights accommodation (excluding Friday/Weekend) provided by the
Information Institute during the full three day event (this offer excludes
travel costs)
Submissions will be reviewed by the
Doctoral Symposium Advisors Panel, and selected for inclusion in the symposium
on the basis of originality, technical merit, presentation quality, and
relevance to the conference topics.
The paper outlining the candidate's
research should be in the form of a short paper summarizing the student's thesis
proposal. This paper should provide the research question, a justification of
why and to whom the research is important, a brief literature review, a
presentation of the theoretical basis for the work, a research model and
hypotheses (if applicable), and a description of the research design. The paper
should not exceed 3,000 words.
